Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I appreciate your interest in exploring about what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day-saints believe. I love sharing my beliefs and testimony about it because being an active member and what blessings it brings me and my family. These are blessings that are found in no other group, organization or place on the earth that I know of. I strongly encourage you to search and understand the doctrines to what it can mean for you. I am happily married and have four great kids. I love to spend time with family because that is what matters most to me. I enjoy golf, snow skiing, fitness, eating green smoothies, going on walks, watching movies and travel. I also enjoy studying the gospel of Christ and what it does to bless my life. I have owned medical equipment companies and currently have started a wellness company to help people avoid the high cost of healthcare and have more healthy disease free lifestyles. Why would you want to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, why I am? I am a believer of Christ because it brings peace, stability, knowledge, happieness, blessings, and an understanding of who I am and my purpose for being on this earth. That is huge in todays tumultous world.

Why I am a Mormon

You might ask why am I a Mormon and why would you when there are so many different religions to choose from and why does it matter anyway? I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because it is the restored church that Christ set up when he was on the earth. It has the same priesthood authority. That makes all the difference. I am a follower of Christ. I am a Latter-day saint for a lot of different reasons. I can get my own revelation and answers to life problems through prayer for myself and family. This is how through study and prayer I have recieved my testimony that not only is the bible the word of God, their are called prophets of God today still, he has also has additional words and revelations like Book Of Mormon as scripture. God still talks today. I love studying this book! It has been a blessing. This church doctrine is sensible and clear for anyone to understand and know it is true. It is the exact doctrine Christ taught on the earth. I am also blessed because of living the commandments where other people struggle, have more problems and heartache that they don't need. Their are financial blessings, health blessings, forgiveness blessings, eternal marriage blessings and more for you. You can get your own answers too. I encourage you to learn more. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the true Church of God like the sun shines. Its teaching are correct. I know that by living it's teachings we can be able to return and live with God in peace and love.

How I live my faith

I participate in my church by serving others in what we call a Home Teacher. We are ordained Priesthood holders. This is where two male holders of the priesthood visit possibly 4 families in the congregation monthly. My companion and I bring a spiritual message of strength, see what help they might need, bring them fellowship, have a prayer with them or offer a Priesthood blessing of healing if necessary. We basically lookout for them and find ways to be of service. Their is a great feeling of love for each other and concern.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Mark
The law of health is a blessing of revelation from God. As a people we don't know everything about health and it's possible side effects. New research is changing. We have to trust that this revelation about health is from God and that he knows more than man. Obstaining from these accepted divisive substances has been a health blessing and more. I've seen what heartache and problems it has caused my own family members. I am healthier, less of an insurance risk, I think clearer, I save money, I don't have to worry about feeding a habit that controls my actions and poor judgment, I am happier without it. I am still accepted by others. Show more Show less
