Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon. I am an attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I have a wonderful wife and nine cute/handsome children.

About Me

I am an attorney practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have been residents of Las Vegas off and on for going on 40 years. In spite of what people may think, Las Vegas has been a great place to raise a family. My life evolves around my children and their interests. I have coached most of my children in baseball, basketball and soccer and I am never too busy that I cannot fit in a ball game somewhere, especially if it involves my children or grandchildren. I swim about 1 1/2 miles every morning with my wife, Jan. It is fun to spend time with Jan each morning before I go to work. The swimming just keeps my heart going.

Why I am a Mormon

Raising a family today can be difficult. However, raising a family in the LDS faith makes this important responsibility much easier. Our church teaches that families are important and eternal. Understanding the eternal nature of families helps us get over the bumps and obstacles of life and understand that we have a purpose being here and that if we live worthy, we can live as a family unit forever.

How I live my faith

I believe in being active in the community as well as in my church. Many of our dearest friends are not members of our church. I have had an opportunity meet many outstanding people not of my faith through my work in the community. I have coached a number of sports for many years. This has given me an opportunity to develop many friendships and associations with people that I otherwise would not have had I not spent so many years coaching. I am also active in my church and I especially enjoy working with the young people as they are a lot more fun than dealing with ancients like myself. I attend church each week with my family and fulfill church callings (assignments). Service is an important part of our church as members understand that happiness is all about serving others.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Steve
After searching, reading and pondering, you must go to Heavenly Father in prayer as he is the source of all truth. If you have studied with a desire to know the truth and you approach Heavenly Father in prayer with real faith, the Holy Ghost will bear witness that the things you have been reading and studying are true.
