Hi I'm Fred

I grew up in St. Petersburg, I love traveling, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm retired from the highway department, I love to fish and also to travel and see new sights. I have been a Mormon all my life and I know that it is true, not because I grew up in the church but because I was Inactive (not attending church) and I knew that there was something missing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

As I said I grew up in the church but I fell away for a number of years. I came to recognize that there was something missing in my life. After an invitation to church by my brother I realized, from the first time back, that church was what had been missing. Coming back to church brought a peace and comfort from the spirit into my life that had been missing for a long time, that I had been unable to find anywhere else. The spiritual strength gained and the fellowship has come to be a great blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth and I am the first counselor in the bishopric of my ward (church congregation). I work with the Bishop to plan who will participate in our sacrament meetings. I choose who will speak and who will give the prayers. I work with the missionaries to teach the Gospel and to help give service to those who are in need both from the congregation and in the community. I love to help people and follow what Christ taught when he told us that what we do unto the least of our fellowmen we do unto Him.
