Hi I'm Anne-Marie

I am a married mother to 4 wonderful children, I love spending time with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my sweetheart, for 19 years and we are parents to three sons and a daughter whose ages range from 'nearly 17' to 'nearly 10' - that 'nearly' being crucial! My family is my greatest blessing! After my A Levels I went to University where I trained to be a nurse. I no longer practice as a nurse but now work at a local Primary School which I really enjoy - fell into the job accidentally but haven't looked back!. I have lived in the UK and Saudi Arabia. I love to spend quality time with AND entertain/bake for my family and friends, and among other things enjoy technology, gadgets, reading, listening to a various range of music and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

There came a point in my life, after I had left home, when I had to decide for myself whether the teachings of the Church were true or not. Time to stand on my own two feet and not be reliant on others for MY personal journey. I am grateful for the personal confirmation that I received. The Church is based on principles taught and lived by Jesus Christ, our Exemplar. I am thankful for the principles that I had been taught throughout my childhood and youth, and that I continue to be taught in my adulthood, that help me to be the person I am today. I'm not perfect, not by a long shot. I don't pretend to be, but I'm trying to be a better person - A better wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, neighbor. I am thankful to be married to my husband for 'time and all eternity' and that if I make good choices in this life, my family can be a 'forever family'. My faith gives me a lot of peace and reassurance. I'm grateful to have an understanding of where I came from, why I am here and what will happen to me when I die. Our beliefs do not include the monopoly on being good people - there are many outside of our faith that are amazing examples of 'good' people. I am certain though that I am a better person as a result of my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. My parents both joined in their teens. My parents are no longer married and my dad and two of my sisters are no longer active members of the Church but I am thankful for the principles which were taught to me from a young age, which I had the choice to embrace for myself. I am so lucky to be married to a wonderful man, who shares the same values and beliefs that I do. I currently work with the youth of the Church, in particular the 'Young Women'. These are girls from the ages of 12-18 years of age. I love having the opportunity to spend time with these incredible individuals.
