Hi I'm Kyle

I run Track and Field at Utah State University. I love playing the piano and writing my own songs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, a runner, and most importantly, a brand new husband. My wife means everything to me and I'm so happy when we are together. We love to be outdoors, to exercise, and meet new people. I also love to play the piano. I love learning new music, or writing my own. I'm a firm believer that there is too much to enjoy in life to get distracted with things that don't really matter. Thus, I try to find some alone time at least once a week when I can ponder on the many blessings I have received.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel makes me happy. I think this life is all about finding true happiness, and true happiness is only found in knowing who you are, and in living according to who you are meant to become. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that we are all God's children. We are on this earth to learn, be tried, and gain experience. One day, we will all return to God again and we will be held responsible for what we did in this life. If we've been good and tried to do our best, we will be happy when we see our Heavenly Father face to face. If we didn't live the way we should, then we will be disappointed in ourselves that we didn't do more to try to please God. Of course, we will all make mistakes and come short of what we should have done. But if in this life we try hard, and when we do make mistakes we quickly turn to our Savior and repent, we can once again live with our Heavenly Father and experience ultimate joy. Jesus Christ has prepared the way, and it is only through Him that we can be happy. I know that He lives and is our Savior. And I know I will never be able to repay Him for what He has done for me. However, I'm trying to live my life in such a way that He will know that I am grateful for His sacrifice. He truly lives and His gospel is found in its fullness in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Of this I bear my testimony, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy spending time with my ward. At church, I feel like I can be myself because we're all focused on the fact that we are all children of God. I'm kind of shy by nature, but at church I try my best to go out of my way to meet new people and get to know others better. You never know what a simple handshake and a sincere smile can do. Members of the church are assigned to go hometeaching (for the men) or visiting teaching (for the women.) This is where we go out and visit other members that we've been assigned to visit. It's a great way to strengthen each other and I've been richly blessed both in hometeaching others and in being hometaught myself.
