Hi I'm Allyson

I love music and math. I LOVE my husband and three little boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In high school I was all about doing well in school, participating in every music and math activity possible, and spending every spare moment beyond that with my family (my awesome parents and my older and younger siblings). When I went off to college, things weren't much different; I studied music and math, spent a lot of time trying to excel in all my classes, but making time, too, to meet and marry my husband! We had our first child just a month after I graduated with my bachelor's degree, and wow, has life been different ever since! Of course I still get some music and math (children's songs and counting pieces of cereal), and while I am not in school, I am constantly learning. Honestly, the learning has been very painful at times, much more difficult than I remember with homework and tests, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is drawing me nearer to Jesus Christ than I ever was before, and my family brings me happiness that is way stronger than any of the difficulty I sometimes experience as a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true!

How I live my faith

I try to be active in the Church (such as Sunday meetings, activities during the week, church choir) AND in the Gospel (such as using the scriptures and prayer to search for answers to my questions about life, choosing to have faith and hope instead of stress, trying to love more and lose my temper less). ...This answer was actually inspired by Elder Hallstrom's talk in the April 2012 General Conference, if you want to check it out!
