Hi I'm Robert Allen Gibson

N.C. United States. I'm a Mormon. I teach Tennis. I share Gospel truths in my tennis lessons. God has a plan you and me.

About Me

I am a Jack of all trades and Master of a few. As a Tennis Professional I try to help people see their full potential, not only as tennis players but as a person. I show them that many of the things that seem impossible today become possible tomorrow as they exercise hope and faith in the things they are doing or want to do. I am also a husband and father of 4 great kids. Family is the reason to work hard, but not for ourselves, but to be obedient to the laws of GOD. I teach my students four keys for success Preparation, Concentration, Timing, and Visualization. With these Keys Education is always required to meet our potential. We need to read and study always if we are to learn all the truths this world has to offer us. I manage properties, Serve in my church, Serve in my community, Work as a Health consultant, Program web sites, Read the scriptures, and Give Praise to GOD for all the blessings of this Life we have to live. Yes, We are all busy over worked, under paid, struggling to make a living. But GOD has given us something that makes it all worth while, LOVE and as we understand that pure love of Christ and who our family is and how important the family unit is to GOD our FATHER we become a better person, better family, better Friends, better neighbors, a better people, and better children of GOD.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1981. After seeing the examples of many other members of the church, I thought that if the church were responsible for their good examples then I would test some of the laws they were teaching and see if the power of God would sustain me as well. The First Law I tested was an Old Testament law of tithes. I can testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the power, authority and the blessings of GOD to collect and administer tithes. I then applied the New Testament law "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." I came to know and see more of the times, when the Lord had had a hand in my life before and after I became a Member. Letting me understand truths and principles with a witness to my heart from the Holy Ghost. The third Law I tested was from the Book of Mormon, Another testament of Jesus Christ. We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. Therefore, by follow the council I have become a member of Christ's Church. Learning all that I can to be a follower of Christ. The Church provides me ways obey more of the commandments of Christ.

How I live my faith

There is a saying I first read in the Book "What think ye of Christmas?" that has stayed with me through out my life. "And behold, all things have their likeness, and all things are created and made to bear record of me, both things which are temporal, and things which are spiritual; things which are in the heavens above, and things which are on the earth, and things which are in the earth, and things which are under the earth, both above and beneath: all things bear record of me." I have tried to walk through this life looking for what each person; place and thing might have to say as a witness of Jesus Christ, that I might know my savior and redeemer better and from the perspectives of others. As a member of Christ's Church, I get to obey his commandments better because in his church I am allowed to teach his gospel to my neighbors both close and far away. I have been given opportunities to bless the sick, morn with those who are morning, feed the hungry, cloth the naked, sever those that have had troubles in earth quakes, Hurricanes, and tornadoes. I have helped set World Records in delivering the most food collected in one day. But most of all I have had the opportunity to work with individuals that Love the Lord and are striving to be like him and become better persons themselves.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Robert Allen Gibson
I have always found that it is important that we take care of our bodies. Christ was one who served others. Many of his miracles were to heal, fix or maintain the bodies of those he encountered. I have found that it is hard to serve if I am sick or weak. In tennis, we use visualization to perform at our best. The Lord has asked us to be visionaries. I have found that by seeing things in a vision in our mind and heart, allow the Lord to help us communicate with our spirits and allow our spirit to work better with our bodies. When the Lord wants to help someone he has given people here on the earth visions of what he wants them to do or prompting of someone to visit. The Lord has given us the Word of Wisdom to assist us in our maintaining of our bodies. Modern Prophets have warned us about defiling our bodies and minds with Drugs, Tobacco, Alcohol, Pornography, Tattoos, and Piercings. Our bodies house our spirit, the Light of Chirst, our mistakes, trials, hardships, sacrifices and all that we learn good and bad. This to remind us that we are Chrildren of GOD. Remember Christ came back after his resurection and showed the wounds in his hands, feet and side. This sacrifice made for all mankind as a part of the attonement. It is in our Temple, the Holy Ghost comes to visit/stay and testify to the truth of all things. If we are not clean the Holy Ghost can not stay with us. Thus we need to repent to clean the temple God has given us. So that our light might shine. Show more Show less
