Hi I'm Kele

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to tertiary and obtained a B.Com Degree in Economics, worked as as a senior creditors clerk for 5 years and am currently in Internal Auditing learnership. I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter and never been married. Even though I have made mistakes in my life she is the one good thing that came from all of that. My hobbies are jogging early in the morning, reading, going on camping trips, and I love being around cheerful people.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I became a Mormon, I did not go to church, for 11 years, only occassionaly visiting other churches, that too I stopped doing and just stayed at home. One day in 2010 I came back from work and I saw this card at home, It said Mormon at the back and on the front there was a picture of Jesus Christ. I wondered who they where as I'd never heard of Mormons before but kept the card because I loved the picture. In December 2011 there was a knock at my door I opened, and these two gentlemen greeted me and they introduced themselves and wanted to share the gospel, I thought " here we go again"! I told them to come back the next day and I did'nt think they would but they did. The gospel they shared was not like anything I heard before, and It changed my life, even when I visited the church for the first time the people there were so friendly, treated me like a long lost friend. I was baptized in February 2012 and have been a faithfull member ever since.

How I live my faith

I was called to be a sunday school teacher for the youth 2-3 weeks after my baptism. I realised that I had to be an example to the youth and it would require me to be a shining light unto them. It was a bit of a challenge as my knowledge of the scriptures was limited, but I have found out that I just have to study hard and the Holy Spirit will be my teacher and witness. I was also called recently in the Young single Adults to help raise funds for them and organize activities. I try to visit also non-members just to have a chat, laugh with those who laugh and cry with those who cry and offer hope in the atonement of Jesus Christ. Once or twice I even did garden service.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a spiritual witness by the Holy Ghost unto a person. Our testimony as Mormon is that Heavenly Father lives and loves us, that Jesus Christ lives and He is the Son of God and that through His infinite atonement we wil again see God; that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who was called to restore The Church of Jesus Christ in this latter days and that today we are led by a living prophet, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints is the Savior's restored Church on the earth today Show more Show less
