Hi I'm Sam

I am a husband and soon to be father. I am studying to be an aeronautical engineer. I love rock climbing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Four months ago I was married in the Seattle temple and we are excited to start our family. My wife and I are currently going to school and working. I am studying Mechanical Engineering with and emphasis in Aeronautical Engineering. My really love is for small airplanes that fly low and slow. I am planning on getting my private pilots license as soon as I can. I love the outdoors, no matter what the weather is. I am a rock climber, and ultimate frisbee is my favorite sport to play.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful family that was, and is, very active in the church. Those who don't know me might say that the only reason some like me goes to church is because I was raised in it. On the contrary, the reason I go to church and try to live the gospel is because I have read, studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon and know it is true. For me, it the Book of Mormon is true than Joseph Smith was a Prophet and the church is true. Another important reason that I am a active member in the church is because I have had so many experiences when the spirit of God testified to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. These spiritual experiences have happened so many times that I cannot deny it. Most of the time they have been very small experience but if you add it all together over the years it is impossible to set it aside and pretend it didn't happen. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. I know that my wife and I have been sealed together in the temple of God by the power of God and that I will be with her and my family forever. I know that God has called prophets today and they speak the mind and will of God.

How I live my faith

I do my best to first live right in my home. I try to read the scriptures and pray with my wife every day. In our congregation we were asked to help another couple prepare to get married in the temple. We meet with them once a week and talk about the gospel of Jesus Christ to help them continue to live it and be worth to go and be sealed together forever. We have also been asked to help with the Family History Research programs in our congregation and the others near by. We help teach people to find their ancestry and learn more about their heritage.
