Hi I'm Curtis

I'm a Father of 9, I'm a family man, I grew up in Minnesota, and I'm a second generation Mormon.

About Me

I'm a common Joe, just a regular guy. I'm a machinist of 35 years. I've been riding motorcycles for 40 and love the beautiful outdoors. I especially love backpacking trips with my kids and off road motorcycling.

Why I am a Mormon

I witnessed my folks joining the Mormon church when I was 7 and our family became active in the church when I was ten and I was baptized by my father. My testimony of the truthfulness of the church began with my parents example of dedicated service in the church for their entire lives. I always had a testimony of the truthfulness of this church and it just grew over years. But when I became married to my wife who was not a member at the time I went from knowing it was true to knowing it was true and applying the gospel teaching to my life. I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, and I know that they are real because the Holy Sprit has whispered to me that they live. Also because of my imperfection I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ can make bad men good and good men better. And I feel that I am a better man today because of this belief.

How I live my faith

I enjoy going to work and supporting my own family and being self reliant as our church teaches us. Over the years I have served many years with the youth (including my own children) in my church and teaching them values, good principles, being good citizens in the community, and also being involved in the scouting program. I've also worked many years with the adult members of our church and enjoy fellowshipping and serving my fellow man. I believe in the scripture which says "....Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40 I also like a scripture thats in a book called the Doctrine and Covenants (chapter58:72) which says; "Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness" These are a couple of scriptures that have motivated me to live my faith the way I do.
