Hi I'm Carlos.

I'm a convert to the church. I like Cold Stone creamery. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life can probably be split into four chapters. First chapter is when I was a kid and how most of my time and passion was surrounded in soccer. I've been playing soccer since I was 7 and have played in statewide championships in various occasion. Never broken a bone which is great! Second chapter has to do with music. At 16, I decided to learn how to play the bass. Even though I knew nothing about music at the time, I somehow convinced my dad to buy me a bass guitar. A year went by and I was playing in a local band with some of my friends. Interesting enough, shortly after, the guitar got my interest and I decided to lock my bass in the closet to grab the guitar instead. The next 5 years I played for a few bands in Los Angeles and had the fun opportunity to play at major venues like the House of Blues. Third Chapter - I served a full time mission and I'm eternally grateful for the experiences that I had. I've never been closer to God than at that point and was able to understand how wonderful it is to serve others. Fourth Chapter- I recently moved to the Bay Area to finish my degree in Computer Science. I love this place and am very excited of the things that are to come.

Why I am a Mormon

By constantly reading, praying, asking and attending church I understand more and more about the purpose of life. Knowing about our purpose gives me a clear direction of the things that I want to accomplish in life. It helps me feel joy and peace even in times of trials. It strengthens my love for others. In simple words, it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel is about striving to be like the Savior every day of our lives. I try to live my faith by basing my decisions upon the principles of the gospel. For example, if someone is in need, I'm pretty sure the Savior would like me to help somehow so I strive to do whatever I can. Hey, there is a party on Sunday! Uhmm.. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. Also, letting go of pride and asking for forgiveness even if it wasn't our fault is another example. Overall, my faith in the Savior is about striving to follow His example. Is about acting upon that faith and demonstrating it by how we live. He knows we wont do everything perfectly in this life but he sure does expects us to try.
