Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in an Air Force family, moving around a lot. I teach kindergarten. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I teach kindergarten at two different schools, AM and PM. I just recently was married and my husband and I are loving life! I love my job - teaching young children is just so rewarding, even if it's hard sometimes. I also LOVE reading - I'll read all day if given the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. I believe that the Book of Mormon is the most true book today. I feel warm and fuzzy inside when I read it and know that it's true. I believe that the prophet speaks with our Heavenly Father and gives us direction today. I believe in the power of personal revelation - countless times have I prayed to my Heavenly Father and been given direction as to a choice I should make. He sends comfort and help to me in the form of his Spirit, the Holy Ghost. I don't know what I would do without that help. I believe that families can be together forever. This is one of my favorite truths of the gospel. My love for my husband will not end with my death (or his) and now that we have been sealed, our marriage won't either. We will be able to be with our family and our extended families for eternity, if we are true and faithful to our covenants.

How I live my faith

In my particular ward, I teach the 5 year olds. There is something very sweet about these children who are learning the basic truths of the gospel. I love going back to the basics, and it has really strengthened my beliefs and testimony in the gospel.
