Hi I'm Brent

I am studying Theater to become a set designer. I love movies, working with computers, and building things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my biggest passions is movies, they have always fascinated me, especially the creation of them. I am at university studying theater to learn how to be a set designer so I could designer sets for movies and theater productions. I also have a job where I help build sets for theatrical productions. Besides building sets, I have built models on my own. I also enjoy working with computers and creating things using the computer, I have edited movies using the computer such as iMovie, a lot of them for my family. I have also built 3D models using the computer. I also enjoy running, and like to participate in 5Ks and half marathons I am also love my family and enjoy getting together with them often.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, my parents were both members, so I grew up in the church. But as I started to grow older, I, like Nephi, desired to know of these things for myself. So one night I decided to pray and ask if the things that I have learned were true, and I felt that burning feeling that had been described and knew that the church was true. Another thing about the gospel that stuck out to me was the importance of families. The church placed emphasis on families, and that it was part of our Heavenly Father's plan. I saw the blessings of happy family and I continued to want the gospel to be a part of my life for that big reason. In fact, as I got older, that became a big reason to go out and serve a mission when I hit the appropriate age, because I saw the blessings that came to my life because of the gospel, and I wanted others to experience the joy that I had felt in my life. The gospel has been a big blessing to me and my family, and has helped me know the right choices that I should make to be happy, and has answered many important questions in my life.

How I live my faith

I continue to strengthen my faith in the Lord by studying the scriptures each night for a certain period of time, and to keep my communication open with Him through prayer. I also attend my church meetings each Sunday. As well, I participate in my calling in the ward, whatever it may be, and try to fulfill it in what I am suppose to do. As well in my ward, I strive to be kind to all those around me, and those that I home teach, I try not to limit it to just one visit, but I also leave notes for them every so often to let them know that I am thinking of them. I also strive in the community to look around and see how I can help others, if I notice people that are struggling, I see if they need any help and if they do I help them in any way I can. Even in times that I was in a rush, if I saw someone struggling, I would go out of my way and help them. I also spend time with my family that is in my area and, and check up on them to see if they need help with anything.
