Hi I'm Brandon Petersen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently attending college with my beautiful wife. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. I am studying industrial design and hope to be an entrepreneur. I love the outdoors. Skiing is one of my favorite hobbies because being in the mountains helps me feel closer to God. I also enjoy photography, filming/editing, and painting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS Church by my wonderful parents. From a very young age, I remember reading the Book of Mormon with my family. When I was a teen, I set a goal to read that sacred book every day. Through much study and prayer, I have come to know that this is God's Church through the Book of Mormon. I asked God, and I received a witness. I know that God answers prayers. He loves His children and wants to help them. One way that He has done this is through the Book of Mormon. Anyone can come to know the truth of that book the same way that I did, as well as countless others. One of my favorite scriptures from the Book of Mormon was written by a man named Nephi (who was an ancient prophet, like Moses, who lived over 500 years before Christ was born). He said, "And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good. And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with power and great glory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness" (2 Nephi 33:10-11). I know that the Book of Mormon truly does contain the words of Christ. It is my prayer that everyone in the world will simply have the desire and the faith to pray and ask God if these things are true. I know that by the the feelings that come into your heart, you can know these things are true and from our loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am very involved in my local ward, or congregation. I attend church every Sunday to learn more about God and what I need to do to prepare to live with Him again, as well as with my family. I have the opportunity to visit with other members in my area and share spiritual messages every month. Sharing gospel truths with one another helps to strengthen faith and build lasting friendships.
