Hi I'm Megan

I've always lived in Utah. I love anything outdoorsy. I love all sorts of music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello I'm Megan and I've always lived in Utah. I love to do anything outdoorsy and I'm a huge fan of music- I listen to pretty much anything. I am coming into my senior year of high school and I love school. I love art such as drawing and painting. I'm also really into psychology. I'm pretty open to new things and different experiences- I feel like life needs to be enjoyed so I try my best at being positive. I also am a huge fan of old classic movies I honestly think those are the best types of movies. I tend to do really random stuff and I love a lot of things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it made sense to me. In 8th grade i wasn't active at all, and my friends weren't really either. I was extremely unhappy where I had to get help. I always wanted to find a religion and believe in something... but I didn't know where to start. I did anything to avoid the LDS church. However, I went and saw a therapist because of the events that were going on at the time; she was LDS and she encouraged me to go to church. I resisted but she still helped me because I was diagnosed with depression; she gave me the tools that could help me be happy. By that summer I had a whole new mind set but something was missing. Well a week before school started a Laurel in my ward invited me to go to Education week with her- which is a program at BYU with all sorts of classes to help understand the church and it's doctrines better. I did not want to go at all but at the last second I agreed to go. The first class I went to was one by Brad Wilcox and he talked about being a teenager and being LDS.. and while I listened, everything he said made sense. I actually had forgotten or probably had never known that the Church taught about being positive and changing one's life for the better. After that day at Education Week I really wanted to understand more and so I I signed up for seminary and ever since then I've been going to church. It's changed my life for the better and even though I face many challenges and make many mistakes I know it's true and that Heavenly Father cares for me and everyone. I know this church is true. I never want to doubt it. I love the Church and because of it I can become better and help others. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I help out with the community; I go to the temple as much as I can. I also attend young womens where we do service oriented projects. And just at school I try to be kind to others and be of help.
