Hi I'm Hayden Blackburn

I'm a Soccer Player, a fun-loving kid, a son, a brother. I'm Hayden Blackburn and I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Hayden Blackburn and I am a goof and a half. I love to laugh. I love life. I was born n' raised in the good ol' state of Utah. I have always loved animals especially dogs, because we had a fun dog all my youth and she did everything with me. I am currently on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but before that I did a semester of college at the Utah State University. I am rather unsure of what I want my career field to be but I am hoping it will present itself soon to me. I have had a great life and have a wonderful family that has reared me in love and shaped me into who I am. I love the Savior and the Gospel of Jesus Christ found in this Church. I love to joke around with my friends and be with the people that I love. I enjoy wakeboarding on the lake and skiing on the slopes. I love to run with my ipod and forget myself for a couple of hours. I have played soccer since I was four years old and hope to play for a university when I get home. I am part of a great family. I have an awesome younger brother who is super good at tennis, so look out Federer! A sweet little sister who is just the cutest! And an older sister who has been my example through school and such (she was the guinea pig child) and I can always go to her with anything. I also have the best parents in the world, a wonderful dad and a loving mother who truly want the best for me and work very hard in order to do so.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have tasted of the fruits and seen the fruits that come from living the Gospel and have come to two conclusions----that it is indeed Christ's Church or it is not, but I have found through experiences that it is indeed Christ's Church. I know that the Book of Mormon is true! It is remarkable, there is really nothing like it. It is a book of scripture out of the dust and testifies to me that prophets truly are on the earth today. I am a Mormon because I know this Church holds the Priesthood of God and that the officers in this Church are called of God. This Church has all the pieces that have since been lost from the world and can answer all questions of life. God does speak to man today and revelations continue, angels minister to the earth, new scripture rolls forth, temples are built to our God, and people's lives are changed. I am a Mormon because I have been changed by the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I know it can happen to anybody who is willing to have faith in Christ and his Atonement, Repent of their sins, be baptized by one holding the Priesthood, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end making sacred covenants in temples, receiving the Priesthood yourself (if your a male) and being sealed for time and eternity as a family that you may receive eternal life and enjoy it with your family. If you want to enjoy blessings and know as I know, please read the Book of Mormon and see if the fruits are not sweet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and by following the Prophet, and keeping the commandments and gospel standards that this church has set forth. And the reason I follow those standards is because I know that they are true and that if I follow them I can become a better person and receive the most joy possible in this life and a fulness of joy in the next life. I live my faith because I know it to be true. I live my faith because it propels me through this rough, at times, mortal existence. I live my faith because in times of difficulty it has lifted me from out of the darkest, coldest of times of life and into the light of truth and encircled me with the Savior's love. I live my faith because through it I can be with my family forever. I live my faith because I know I can receive a remission of sins and be able to become clean so that I may return into my Heavenly Father's presence. I live my faith because I have seen blessings, witnessed miracles, and had experiences that confirm it is true. I live my faith because I know that Jesus Christ is at the head of this Church.
