Hi I'm Ray Lawrence Gibb

I grew up in Bountiful, UT I currently live in Ferron, UT I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have had interesting life, after high school I went into the Army, where I trained as a M.A.S.H. medic, and cross trained for work in the motorpool, as well as a cook. After serving my country, I went to culinary school, and then to Para-Legal school. As a youth I had the great opportunity of spending time and working with and for both of my grandfathers, maternal - learning the construction trade as well as my love for cooking, paternal - learning about farming and the importance of hard work. Both of my grandfathers instilled in me the Entrepreneurial spirit. In the fall of 2010 I began the hard work of forming my own company for two basic reasons, First to create a job for myself in this troubled economy, Second to do my small part in helping to turn the economy around, by putting at least 50 more people to work (in my company) over the next 24 months, as well as purchasing all of the supplies, fresh meats, and fresh produce from local markets, (creating another job in their organization).

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Heavenly Father lives, that he sent his son Jesus to earth to gain a mortal body, and to die for us that we may once again reside with him, after our mortal mission upon this earth is complete. I now that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, sometimes the answer is very plain and other times not so much, but if we live our lives as Jesus taught us, and serve our fellow men, keep our hearts open to him these answers are easier to comprehend. I know that Joseph Smith did see God and his Son that bright Spring Morning in 1820, in a grove of trees across the road from his fathers farm. I know that God and Jesus spoke to Joseph, and did tell him that although the many Churches around him had some truth to them, none of them were the true church, and that he (Joseph Smith) would restore the Priesthood and true church of Jesus to this Earth. Although the time was still a few years away, Joseph's testimony of this vision never wavered, no matter how much torment he received. I know that over the years since the assasination of this great man, the Earth has not been without a Propeht of God, and that President Monson now fills those shoes and communicates daily with God and is given instruction on leading his flock back to him so that we may sit at his feet and be taught like we did before we left him and came to earth to receive our mortal bodies, and receive testimonies of his truth so that we can fullfill his plan.

How I live my faith

I live my fatih by daily reading of the scriptures, listening to our leaders speaking, from their General Confrence talks and firesides that they spea at. I also try to follow Christ's example and help my fellow man with out concern of recognition, or pay, but rather as one helps there brothers and sisters with an unconditional love.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Ray Lawrence Gibb
The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, was written by several different Prophets of old. It tells the history of the "Laminitis" the native Americans that were here when the White Man came to the Americas. It tells of the trials and tribulations of a family that over time divided, so you got the Nephites and the Lamanites, it tells about what happens when you forget who it is that gives you strength, gives you prosperity, gives you life. The Book of Mormon tells of Christ's visit to "his other flocks" after his Crucifixion. It is another Testament of our Savior Jesus Christ and when studied hand in hand with the Bible give a broader picture of the teachings of our savior. Show more Show less
