Hi I'm Justin

I love writing music with my best friend, I love to be with my family, I love to create and build things, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love writing music. I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old. I didn't start to write until I was about 16 years old though. I started out just writing instrumental piano pieces. They were lots of fun and relfected thoughts and feelings that I have had. When I was 18 I started writing songs for the piano with lyrics. The very first song I wrote was different however. In this song I also imagined a guitar along with the Piano. One of my friends played guitar and so I called him up and said, "I've got a song that I want you to help me with". We started working on it and in the end we had an amazing piano/electric guitar combo that expressed our feelings and our thoughts. We knew after we had finished writing our second song that we had something special. My Friend and I have been writing ever since. I have since picked up the guitar and have enjoyed writing songs about experiences I've had, emotions I've felt, and personal experiences I've had with my Savior. Through music I have been able to feel the Love that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father have not only for me, but all God's children, in such a profound and unforgetable way. I feel the presence of my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ very exponentially when I play. I have been priveliged to see my music touch the lives of others and lift them and inspire them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know this because of experiences I've had throughout my life. I've always been a member of the Church and I have always been taught that I am a son of God, my Heavenly Father. Throughout the years, I've had experiences that have reaffirmed that truth. I've come to know through prayer, by taking the time to kneel down and ask my Father in Heaven, that the things I've been taught are true. Through the witness of His Spirit, I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is His Kingdom on Earth. I know that I am a son of my Heavenly Father and that He loves me. I've also come to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I've gained a relationship with Him because of my experiences throughout my life. There was a time in my life when I made a big mistake and I felt the magnitude of my choices. I was in darkness. I thought all was lost. However, through Jesus Christ and His Atonement I received the strength and healing I needed to rise above that dark point in my life. I felt such Love and forgiveness from My savior. I know that He understands and knows me and that He laid down his life for me because He loves me, as well as all of God's Children. I will always be forever in my Savior's debt. I know I will continue to make mistakes for the rest of my life but I know that through His Atonement I have the ability to become better as I try to follow His example and Live His Gospel.

How I live my faith

I strive to the best of my ability to 'love one another'. I try to see everyone as a child of Heavenly Father and to love them as He does. I realize that I don't know what goes on in everyone's life, but Heavenly Father does and He still loves them, despite the mistakes they've made. I know that I can't look down on others because of their mistakes. I have made mistakes of my own, but through my Savior's Atonement I have been able to receive forgiveness and healing. I know that others can experience the same redemption that I have because they are God's Children. I try my best to share the love, joy, and peace I have felt from the Savior, Heavenly Father, and the Gospel with others. I do this because I know that it will bring a greater light into their lives, such as they have never before experienced. I also know that I can help bring many of my brothers and sisters to the pathway that will lead them back to Heavenly Father. I have been able to see for myself the miraculous change that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into people's lives. It strengthens them and brings them true happiness. I know it does: I've seen it!
