Hi I'm Kelsey Foster

I'm Mormon!

About Me

At this time in my life I am awaiting my fall semester to eventually obtain a library science major. I love to write! Writing has definitely become a tool and key to my happiness! I also love to sing anything disney themed or broadwayesque! I am the middle child of my two other siblings and definitely follow the category of the middle child! I have a desire to one day travel the world in young student missions. I have always had a desire to work with children and animals as well. Maybe one day I will actually conquer my dream to swim with a beluga whale! Who knows! I love flowers, trees, anything of nature you name it! I have dreams to one day even own my own flower shop! As you can see I am a thinker, a dreamer, and very odd to say the least! I am also a bit nerdy, I enjoy comic books, playing the nintendo 64, and talking about sci fy movies. I listen to all types of music, except rap! Frank Sinatra is definitely by far my favorite singer in the world. The only sport I am actually alright at is Iceskating if you can call that a sport or an occasional casual dance! If you know me I like to burst out in song, quote you a lyric from your own words, break down into a dance in the middle of the store, and talk in a british accent for kicks! I also have a pet rabbit named Sister Bobbi, she just joined the ward! I love to laugh, I love to smile, and I just love the beautiful world we live in! I am extremely passionate about the wonders of life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a recent convert. I was baptized September 17th 2011! I already had a testimony of our loving heavenly father since I have grown up being a preachers daughter already but there was so much more that I desired. I can tell you that all my plans significantly changed for the better! Everything that I ever hoped for, that I ever desired was true in my heart came to me through the restored gospel. I have no doubt in my mind that the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints is the true church and that only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we were able to have the restored gospel today. I have seen so much in my life turned into blessings because of the realization that everything I go through on a regular basis is because of the atonement! If it wasn't for the atonement of Jesus Christ the church would have never been known and these plain and precious truths would never have been told. I am just so thankful for the book of mormon that helps me day in and day out to be better than I was the day before. I just have such a desire to continue in this spiritual growth! There is still so much for me to learn and understand but that will not stop me! I pray so much that one day I can serve a mission in the few years to come! As for now I have such little time to prepare! But if we don't start now we will never make it home! I just know that heavenly father wants all his children home and all of his children to know of this loving church and the testimony it brings to strengthen our lives!

How I live my faith

I have realized that mormonism is not just a religion! It is a way of life! And it continues to bless us more and more if we have faith in the scriptures, in heavenly father, and live out the commandments in which he has placed in our lives so that we may endure to the end and return to our loving heavenly father! I attend church on Sundays and teach in my YSA Relief Society Class. I have seen in my life that as I prepare to teach my class I may get more out of it then the ones I am teaching! There are things that I am just starting to learn and it just excites me to have more and more knowledge of our savior and his desire for us to be in the church and the things we learn that come from him through the words of our ever so humbled prophets! Most of my best friends are now LDS which makes it a lot easier to progress in the gospel because now we are able to do it together! I love bearing my testimony and love listening to other peoples testimony in the church because it strengthens my own so much! It's a medium sized congregation and I am just starting to learn and really know people but I have a lot of people who are older than me who I spend time with on a regular basis that constantly check on me which is wonderful. I have a journal at home in which I share my thoughts in scriptures, and also I tend to write a lot in my scriptures in general. I am just always learning something new! I have trouble reading anything other than my scriptures anymore but it gives me more time with our savior! I try to be the best example I can be but I know that I can always do better!
