Hi I'm Brad Elmer

I am a student living in Hawaii. I love to surf and enjoy all aspects of the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student in Hawaii studying psychology. I love the ocean and feel incredibly happy on a surfboard. I love to read books and spend time in the company of good friends. I love listening to live music and eating Thai food.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized into the church when I was eight years old. I basically followed the natural progressing steps a member of the church takes. It was during my late teens and early twenties that I began to ask myself if what I was raised to believe was actually true and right for me. Through searching the scriptures and pondering the messages read I began to feel that God really loved me and that I was one of His children. I began to pray from my heart and through many small and simple answers to my prayers I was able to know for myself that this church is true and that Jesus Christ's gospel was being taught in its fullness here. God has been so merciful to me and has placed many wonderful people in my life that have helped me to be able to find happiness and peace in everyday living. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that it is through His gospel that we can find happiness and direction during this life. Questions that resonate in our souls can be answered through His holy word found in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a great book and has brought me closer to my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ in whom I love. It not only is a great book but it is a true book and is evidence to me that this is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

My faith is fostered in everyday living. I have a responsibility to teach gospel lesson's at church once a month. I have the opportunity to study throughout the week to share a message with my peers. It is always an incredible experience to be able to learn with people and teach those of my same age. I live my faith through prayer each day. Prayer has been such a blessing to my life because it has helped me develop a relationship with my Heavenly Father. As I mentioned before I love to surf...it is the few hours each day that I spend laying on my surfboard that I feel close to God. It is a time I spend meditating on things of eternity. When I spend time enjoying and observing this incredible earth that has been created for me it has been in those moments when I feel close to God. I love talking to people about the my faith and try to everyday.
