Hi I'm Lauren

I live in Texas with my husband, our three girls and several pillow pets. I am a piano teacher, a mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of three beautiful girls. I teach piano. I blog. I jog. I find joy in reading a great book, dancing with my girls or just cheering them on from the sidelines. I studied English and music in school and enjoying putting my creative side to work in my home life. We love pulling out a bowl of popcorn and watching our silly selves star in the family movies that I love to create. My life is full and happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon by stalwart parents who loved the gospel and taught me to love the Lord. But, there was a point where I needed to be able to rely on my own testimony. I had learned to read as a child by studying the Book of Mormon with my family. But, when I read it for the first time as a teenager, seeking intently for the truth, I learned so much more. I felt the truth and power of the scriptures so strongly that I could not deny their truth. I knew that every word was true. I am a Mormon today because I know that the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by saying "yes" when asked to serve. Whether this means taking in a meal for a family with a new baby, or a ride to the airport, or teaching a Sunday school lesson, I feel happy when I am serving. I especially enjoy my role as a visiting teacher. The sweet sisters that I visit are my friends and my rocks. I love the idea of administering to the "one" so that no one in the Lord's kingdom is ever really alone.

What is faith?

Faith is belief in action. To have faith in God and Jesus Christ requires hope, trust, confidence and a willingness to follow His words without knowing beforehand the end results. Every day, we practice our faith as we keep the commandments and endure to the end. Show more Show less
