Hi I'm Brandie

I was born and raised in Southern California. I have a mixed family that I love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a normal family, one with lots of problems and few answers. Years later, I now have a mixed family of step and half parents and siblings and I love it. In high school I did track where I sprinted the 200m and 400m races. I took introduction to engineering classes offered at my high school and decided I wanted to be an electrical engineer. I'm currently in school pursuing that degree. School is definitely hard but it will be worth it in the end. I love french fries! I can't get enough of them. I also really enjoy being around my friends. My friends are people who make me a better person and who do not compromise my standards. I want to continue moving forward towards becoming an electrical engineer, a wife, a mother, and a better disciple of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the teachings and blessings that come from being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Growing up in the church, I took advantage of the blessings, and when I had to stand on my own two feet, I needed to find out if this was really true. Thank goodness for this gospel because I don't have to rely on a person telling me that it is true. I can go to the source of all truth, God, and ask in prayer. I did just that and got my answer. I had been without this church and I was always left wondering my purpose. The gospel of Jesus Christ clearly states our purpose and I know and feel of God and Jesus' love for me. I am Mormon because I know I am worth something, that I have a purpose, there is a plan for my life, I have a loving Heavenly Father that only wants me to be happy, truly happy, and return home to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I am in charge of texting and emailing members at church so that they know of activities. These activities allow us to be surrounded by good people and having fun. I am also in charge of teaching church lessons to new members or members who need a spiritual boost. You are not just another face in this church, especially not to God. Serving people in and out of the church is a big way I live my faith. I have participated in many service projects from making sandwiches and taking them to people who are homeless. I have cleaned many yards of those we some times don't even know. I have helped people move or watched over their kids so that they can do important things. No matter the degree of service, I have always felt the happiest and know that I am doing what Jesus would do.Some times it is very hard to even imagine what He would do if He lived our lives but when we do act like Him, we are so happy!
