Hi I'm Stephanie Mitzel

I'm an Aggie at Utah State University, Kappa Delta, traveler, sister, daughter, volleyball player and best friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student at USU, I work at a gym and I love it every minute of it. I am studying Business Administration and Marketing. Volleyball is a passion of mine! I loved the game, and played for 7 years before I tore my ACL twice! I love the sunshine, and my favorite way to spend a hot summer day is boating out on the river in Washington. I love to travel, and learn and experience the culture of other places. One day I hope to travel to many different countries to be a consultant to many government organizations. I love my family! My little brother is my favorite boy in the whole world and I love him with my whole heart. My parents are the two most amazing people that I know, and are the biggest role models in my life. I have learned so much from them. My favorite food is cheese, and I love all country music, Matisyahu and Coldplay. I have been blessed in countless ways, and have learned through endless experiences that this life is truly a gift!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel with every fiber of my being. I have seen the miracles that it brings to the lives of people who allow it to enter and bless their lives. My dad was a convert to the church, and was baptized when I was in 7th grade. I remember that day vividly, and remember how strongly I felt the spirit. My mom knew that he would one day join the church, and her faith never faltered. She remained as a strong example to him for 20 years of marriage before he decided that it was time for him to get baptized. What a woman of faith, support, and trust in the Lord! Ever since that day, my family has been stronger. More love is present in our home. We were later sealed in the temple as a family for time and all eternity, and I have never felt such happiness. It was by far one of the coolest experiences that I have had in my life this far, and will forever remain as a top spiritual experience in my life. It is such a blessing and comfort knowing that my family will be able to remain together forever. What a magnificent power the priesthood is. I know the temple is the house of the Lord. The gospel changes lives for the better, as it changed not only my dad's, but my family's and will impact feature generations. The Book of Mormon is true. I have read it, prayed about it, and received my answer. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was restored to the earth during this dispensation by the Prophet Joseph Smith. The atonement of Jesus Christ is real. I know that Jesus is my brother and has felt every emotion and pain that I have been through; good or bad. I know that we are all children of God, and that he loves us each with an infinite love. He counts our tears. He has a plan that has been written specifically for us. The gospel affects every decision that I make in my life. It is a scary thought to think about who I would be, or where I would be without it. I am eternally grateful to have the knowledge that I do, and hope that I can share it with many others!

How I live my faith

I think the best way to show that I love my Savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father is to demonstrate their love to others around me. The more you love people, the more enjoyable life becomes. By loving others, you get to learn that we all have such different paths; different life experiences who shape us into the people we individually become. Once you love people, sharing the gospel becomes that much more natural because we want ones that we love to benefit from the blessings that only come from living the gospel.
