Hi I'm Amber Swann

I love to sing, I'm going to be a nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey I'm Amber I really love to sing, I feel like it is the best way to communicate the way I feel, especially because when I do try to express myself my tongue gets ahead of my brain and everything comes out wrong. My mom said that I came out of the womb singing. It's sort of cheesy but I feel like I owe my voice first to the Lord and then to my mom, she is an incredible woman. When I was a kid I used to play in my room for hours by myself. Now that I've gotten older the only thing that has changed is my room has become an art studio,on any given day you might find me working on an art project, painting, working with clay, reading, beading, then if you come back three hours later I just might still be there. To create is something I love. It's both a blessing and a curse. Everything I am, everything I have, I owe to my Father in Heaven. He has blessed me with so much, and I Trust him with all of my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

The main reason I am a Mormon is because of the Book of Mormon. It is such an incredible book. It has helped me become more like Jesus Christ than anything else in my life. I was actually born in the Church and it is something that I am eternally grateful for. The Lord has blessed me with so much, I was raised in a home where I was taught gospel principles from the beginning. I remember the first time I vainly told my mom sorry, she quickly scolded me and said "Amber when you say sorry it means you will never do it again." haha and so began my early childhood repentance. I'm so grateful that I was raised living gospel principles. I have seen change in my life, I have become better, and I will continue to change. This is what it means to me to be a member of the Church of Jesus

How I live my faith

Before I left for my mission I attended a Young Single Adult ward. I love attending the Young Single Adult ward! I had so many opportunities to serve and gain leadership skills, it has really helped me feel like I can make a difference and be involved. But mostly I just love being around people my age that practice the same faith as me. It's amazing to me how a bunch of college aged kids can create a loving environment where they center their life on Jesus Christ and his teachings.
