Hi I'm Jordan Smith

I served a mission in Missouri Independence, I'm an Aggie, I'm going to be a cow vet, I'm a snowboarder, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im currently on a mission in the Independence Missouri mission. Im eager to serve the Lord. I've gained a love of family indexing. I come from Idaho Falls. I am going to Utah State when i get back. When i return i will become a veternarian. I like to play games with my family and love to eat ice cream. Im the oldest out all my siblings and all of my 72 cousins. I never really gained a testimony of anything until i was able to go to the temple. After i went for myself, I found out that i was blessed a ton. It wasn't until then that i decided to go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Im morman because i grew up in the church my whole life. I never really knew the church was true until i asked the question: "Am i doing this for me or am i doing this for my parents?" I didn't know this church is true until i STARTED looking for the truth for myself. I am so much happier now than i was when i was ignorant about my belief. I'm currently working on an LDS mission and am working on atleast one investigator the whole time... Me.

How I live my faith

I went to the temple as often as i could and did service projects before i went on my mission. I also participated in young mens and scouting. I am currently trying to serve the church as an representative of Jesus Christ.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Jordan Smith
Authority to baptize is important because we have to have permission from God. There is a reason why Jesus Christ went to John the Baptist. John had that authority and permission from god. Its important to have that authority. Baptism is good. Baptism with the priesthood authority is best! In the bible peter had been told that "whatever he would bind on earth would be bound in heaven" (Matthew 16:19) He had that authority to do so. We need to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized by someone holding the piesthood authority from god. Show more Show less
