Hi I'm Lani

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college as I work towards a Special Education degree. I love working with kids and because my little brother has special needs, I have always been involved in working children who have such needs. I love to ride horses and read. I used to get grounded from reading growing up because I would get so caught up in the stories. After living a few years in Hawaii I have a deep appreciation for warm sunshine and water sports. Summer has become my favorite time of year since it is when I can enjoy the sun the most. Meeting people of different cultures and walks of life inspire me to find my culture and desired lifestyle. I love being active and outdoors so I can more fully enjoy the natural beauties of this earth. Like many, I deeply value the friendships and family connections I have in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS household. My parents instilled in me Christian values and a desire to be my best self. As I grew older and saw other people's chosen religion, or lack of one, I knew that the LDS lifestyle was for me. Not only do such things as integrity, chastity, and other moral things encouraged, but a belief in God and Jesus Christ. I know that there is a God and that He loves us. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth to provide a way for us to return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know there are many things in this life we do not have answers to, but I also know that encourages the faith we need to gain the blessings in this life.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings on Sunday. I visit the Sisters I am assigned to visit each month to make sure they are not in any need. I pay my tithing and give my time when needed in service activities. I have a calling in which I give of my time and ideas. My calling is designed to help those who are struggling in their faith and church attendance. The other committee members and I take extra time to invite those members to activities and try to make them feel welcome. I am human, and as such I have faults. I do know that I am striving to live the way I know my Savior would be proud of. Being a fried to all I know is something I strive to do. Time can be a big sacrifice, but I try to go out of my way when there are things that need doing.
