Hi I'm Micklane

I grew up in Utah, I love dirt bikes, I'm a missionary, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a brother to six sisters. I am the second to youngest in the family. I have two nephews who are great. I am from a small town in Utah, three hours south of Salt Lake. I love my dirt bike, mountain bike, and hiking in the mountains. I like camping, swimming, and fishing. As of now I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the England Leeds Mission. I serve the lord for two years, teaching people about faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end. I teach people how the Atonement can help them and their families overcome challenges and concerns that we have today. Families in the gospel grow closer together as they live it. I love doing what I do.

Why I am a Mormon

One of my favorite doctrines is that we can live eternally with our families forever. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet, and he did restore this church. I know that as we follow our living prophet, and the things that the lord commands, we will be blessed for it. Our Heavenly Father loves each one of us, and sent his son to die for us so that we might live again. That is the reason I love this gospel so much, is that it brings me comfort in time of need, and right when i need it. The Book of Mormon is the greatest book on the earth today. If you haven't read it AND prayed about it, do it. It really will change your life.

How I live my faith

Being a missionary I live my faith by teaching people about the good news that there is a prophet on the earth. I read the scriptures daily, which give answers to ANY question if we search hard enough. I'm grateful to be a member of the church. I love it. I believe in works. 'Faith without works is dead'. This really applies to missionary work, but also to our lives. As we show our faith in Christ, we will want to become more like him. I've always had the attitude of having no regrets. Although I do have some regrets, I always try and live so I don't have as many.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Missionary is key to the work of the lord. Growth of the church comes through our invitation to bring others to Christ. Another thing that I think brings many into this church is the Book of Mormon and the teachings in it. Our center on families is also what brings many into our religion. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of god; We also believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it has been translated correctly. Show more Show less
