Hi I'm Kaitlin

I am a captain in Marching band, I am a youth-leader in my church, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a musician, and have played music for almost 6 years now, and the Tenor Sax for 5. I am in marching band, and love it. I was made captain of the Low Reeds last year and have had an amazing experience learning and teaching in that role, and being immersed in music. I love music, especially when I can be a part of it. I am a sister to 3 amazing brothers and love them, and greatly enjoy spending time with them, and my amazing dog. My family is very important to me and I love them. I love being outside, and am in love with the beauty of God's creations. Having lived on both sides of the United States I love both the mountains and sweet forrests of the South. Whenever I can I try to be outside, reading, playing a game/sport, marching, walking, and whatever I can find time to do.

Why I am a Mormon

It is amazing to me the patience and love our Heavenly Father has for us, as I see my faith and simple prayers answered in abundance by the Lord. I have a Tesimony that our Heavenly Father loves us and watches over us. I know he anwers my prayers and blesses me when I pray in faith and try to follow the commandments and live as a disciple of Christ. I also have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and Bible and the guidance and comfort they provide. I read my scriptures in Seminary every morning and study them with the other youth of our church, and make it a point to try to read them right when I get home every day before other things, and I am blessed with peace calm and happiness I notice that because I am learning of the gospel and inviting the spirit into my life I am blessed to be less short-tempered and happier all around. " Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things but to hope for things which are not seen which are true"- this scripture is one of my favorites. I have a testimony that this is the true and restored Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth today, and that it is the only church with the total truth of the Gospel. I know that My Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ lives and that he loves each and every one of us and that he was crucified and resurrected for our sins, and that he now lives again. I believe in God the Eternal Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, and their influence and guidance in my life. I know that we have a living prophet on the Earth today, and that he leads and guides the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints under the direction of our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I bear testimony of these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in our church's youthgroup, as one of the oldest members I spend time trying to help and strengthen the younger members of our group, to remember their Heavenly Father and to get to know him. I also learn daily from our leaders and youth. As we work together in prayer and with the spirit, we build the kingdom of God here on Earth and strive to live as Disciples of Christ in helping and serving others and and by following the commandments. With our youthgroup we also participate in many service projects and have been blessed to help those around us in and outside of our church through, yardwork, housework, dinners, babysitting and many other things.
