Hi I'm Ralph Bennett

My wife and I live and raised my family in Idaho and I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a small town in the western United States where for the last 39 years I have taught band and choir in our school system, and for the last several years, Driver's Education. My wife is from the eastern united states, we met at college in the band program and have since raised twelve children. We currently have 29 grand children in our ever growing family. I love camping, cooking and fishing. I conduct a community chorus of about 40 people from throughout our county. I have worked in the Boy Scouts of America since I was a college student.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, both of my parents being Mormons. My father was a convert and moved from the mid-West to Utah with his family during the great dust bowl in the 1930's. My mother comes from pioneer stock that helped settle one of the beautiful valleys in Utah. I have been blessed with a testimony of Jesus Christ most of my life and have learned, through personal and physical challenges, that He is truly my Savior and Redeemer - but more importantly that he is the the Savior of all in the world. I have had challenges to my faith but have been blessed with increased faith and love as I would plead to my Father in Heaven for help and understanding. I love my service in the church, particularly teaching, and helping others to learn and feel of our Father's love for us and wonders of the atonement of His Son in their behalf. The more I serve, the deeper my testimony grows because of the wonders that the Lord opens to me.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to serve in many callings in the church. I began teaching Primary, Junior Sunday School back then, when I was 16. I had the privilege of serving a two year mission in the Eastern States Mission, spending a year in New York City in a mission organized folk singing group which toured our mission spreading the gospel. I have served in scouting as Scoutmaster, Varsity Coach, Bear Claw Junior Leader Training Courses, District Commissioner and am currently a Chartered Organization Representative. I have taught the adult Gospel Doctrine Class for several years where my understanding of the Scriptures and Gospel deepened greatly. I have also taught the youth in Sunday School. I have served in many leadership positions in the ward and stake. The more I serve, the happier I am and the fuller my life becomes. I am learning about life, both both here and here-after and am being polished by my Father in Heaven and refined so I can serve Him better.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
