Hi I'm Mel

I am an Arizona native and enjoy spending time in the outdoors. I love hunting, fishing, and being with friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I worked for a large natural gas company as an electrical superintendent for 35 years. My pleasure in life has been a long marriage to a wonderful woman. We shared common values and goals that kept our commitment strong for 56 wonderful years. I am recently widowed and enjoy spending time with family and friends and working on home projects. I love southwest art & history, storytelling, and must admit that I am a big sports fanatic. I played many different sports while growing up and as a young man in the military and I still enjoy watching my favorite teams today.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was born into a loving Mormon family and was taught the principles of the gospel as I grew up. When I as nine years old I gave my heart and soul to Christ and asked forgiveness of my sins and was baptized. I know in my heart that the Mormon religion is true.

How I live my faith

I have recently become a more active member of the Mormon church and find my faith strengthened by the fellowship and activities of its members. I've opened my home to some young missionaries and see the practice of service to others in their actions every day. I enjoy teaching Sunday School class and the new friendships made there, community projects, and donating goods and tools for the needy. I look forward to attending the Temple again for continued Temple work and am constantly inspired to improve my relationships with others and with God.
