Hi I'm Kendyl

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I am the second of seven children. I was home schooled k-12. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in a small town in Idaho. I was home schooled K-12 grade, but am now attending college, going into health science. I am not sure exactly what I want to be, but learning about these amazing bodies that God gave us fascinates me. I love playing the piano. I am not as good as I would like to be, but it is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy searching out my ancestors. I love reading, dancing (mostly ballroom), singing, crocheting (anything from afghans to hackey sacks), knitting, and cooking. I love making desserts, but I enjoy making just about anything. I occasionally paint or sketch, but again, I am not nearly as good as I would like. I love my wonderful family (I am the second oldest of seven kids. We have an amazing mom and dad!)! I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or the Mormon church. I love this gospel! There was a time a number of years ago when I was in deep depression. I remember telling the Lord one day that I couldn't take it anymore. I told Him that the only way that life would still be worth living is if my life belonged to Him. I gave my life to the Lord that day, and I have never regretted it. I told the Savior that I trusted Him enough that I was willing to follow Him no matter what. Ever since then I have been filled with this incredible joy. Whenever I make choices that are not in harmony with God, I lose some of that joy. But as soon as I come back, it is replaced. As long as I am doing the things I know to be right, I am so happy! Even when everything around me is falling apart, the Lord helps me to find joy. The Atonement of my Savior, Jesus Christ is the reason that I can feel this. I am so grateful for all that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have given me. And I try to live worthy of all the blessings I have been given. I love my life, and I love this beautiful gospel!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in many ways. I have served in many callings in the church, including leadership positions with the girls my age, assistant choir pianist, and training the girls in my ward in how to do their own family history. But I feel it is important to live my faith all the time, all week, no matter where I am. I always try to live my day as the Savior would if He were here. I try to be very aware of the needs of the people around me, and then to do my best to fill those needs. Sometimes this means a smile, hug, or plate of cookies. Other times it may mean helping someone get their house back in order after having a baby or being ill. There is so much good just waiting to be done in this world, and I try to find it. My Savior gave everything for me, so I ask myself, can't I take ten minutes to serve this person for Him?
