Hi I'm Carl

I grew up in Southeast Idaho and am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since age 21.

About Me

I am a father of seven children and grandfather of three so far. I taught college chemistry for a few years after college and then operated a ranch that I inherited. I enjoyed both over the years but have most enjoyed having a family and raising children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS community where my parents were not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As is typical in this type of community there were negative feelings about the Church among some who were not members and even some who held membership. But I could see happiness, love and charity and concern for neighbors amongst members who were faithful to thier religion which impressed me. When missionaries contacted me while at college I gained a testimony of the Savior and his church and joined the LDS church at age 21.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings faithfully and participate in helping others understand who the Savior is and his desire for all people when appropiate. Some times I help with social events both for the Church and for the community and visit freinds and neighbors just to see how they are doing and to see if they have needs that I could help with.
