Hi I'm Shaun

I grew up on a small farm. I'm a huge sports fan. I'm a gamer. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student majoring in Computer Science with an emphasis in game development and minoring in Spanish. I chose that major because I have always been a big gamer. I love all kinds of games. From computer, to console, to table top games. I am also a huge sports fan. I think sports are fun to play and exciting to watch.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God has given me a knowledge that this is His church. I gained that witness as a young man when I left home to serve as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time as I prepared to teach others. The principles within that book like love of God and my fellow man, and the atonement of Jesus Christ helped me overcome trials and still do. I prayed and asked god if the Book of Mormon is true and he answered me. I felt subtle but complete assurance that God cared for me and he had answered my prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to share the gospel with others in all that I do. I served a mission is San Jose, California. During that two year period I was able to share my experiences with others and help them overcome their problems. When I play video games online that involve others I try to incorporate names that might bring up a conversation about my religious beliefs. For example one group I am in is called "Army of Helaman" which is a group of people in the Book of Mormon 0or on my Xbox live profile introduces others to this website mormon.org and lds.org. I try to live by example in all that I do.
