Hi I'm Tami Haymond

I am an Anatomy and Physiology professor. I love science and learning new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved science and the study of the human body. I enjoy discussions of evolution and prominent scientific theories. I am disappointed in the prevalent theory that a belief in science must destroy belief in God. There are many well educated people whom I have come into contact with that have a vast amount of knowledge. Yet many of these same individuals are completely naive when it comes to God, faith, and spiritual matters. Scientific reasoning does not have to conflict with an understanding of Deity. Many scientists maintain a firm, personal relationship with God despite the pessimism of some scientific theories. I also think that there are many individuals who have had bad experiences with other churches and then have come to the conclusion that all religion must be false. That is not the case. There is a God in heaven and he does have an established church. If you humble yourself and sincerely ask God then He will lead you to His church.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that a correct understanding of life can come to anyone who seeks it earnestly from God. I myself have sought the answers to the classic questions of life including: why I am here, what my purpose is here on Earth, and where I will go after I die. Humbling myself to ask God and admit that I needed His help in answering these questions has made all the difference. I had to study out these questions then follow that study with sincere and patient inquires to God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my actions. I have been told that people watch to see how I treat my neighbors, associates, parents, and friends. I hope that my example, though flawed, will show others that there is something different about me. I hope that my countenance reflects the surety I have about what this life is about. I sincerely hope that others will want to know Him because they know me and I know Him.
