Hi I'm Rebecca

I am serving a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Colorado Colorado Springs mission.

About Me

I have been called to the Colorado Springs, Colorado mission. I am a big sister to 4 boys, and 1 girl. My Family is one of my most important things, right underneath my God, Jesus Christ, and my Religion. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life, but am still learning new things each day. I will spend a year and a half in Colorado to share the Love and Happiness of Christ and his Everlasting Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my live I have grown up as a Mormon, but I never truly understood how I felt about the church until my Sophomore Year in High School. I was having trouble with feeling connected to the world around me, including friends. I was trying to Choose the Right but the path to my happiness was dark and clouded. I was never really happy, until I started reading my scriptures, saying my prayers, going to church. Then I realized what was really important. Heavenly Father will not leave us alone. Although we may not have friends, or maybe we are bullied, He will not leave us. Being with your family, being in good health, reading the scriptures, saying prayers, going to church, focusing on school, are all more important than having insincere friends that don't understand you. I am a Mormon because I know that Christ Atoned for our sins, and we can use his Atonement to be comforted and feel his love. I am a Mormon because this is the True Gospel. It gives you piece of mind, and lets you know when, where, why, what, and how you are here on this earth. Heavenly Father will not leave us alone to mess up, we are here to exceed with His and His Son's help.

How I live my faith

To live my faith I read the scriptures often. I spend many parts of my day reading the Words of the Ancient and Modern Prophets, such as the President of the Church and his 12 Apostles. I also only listen to uplifting music. This lets my mind focus on my faith and not let negative thoughts enter my brain. Of Course, I am not perfect, but I really try my hardest to pray every morning and night, while always keeping a prayer in my heart so that I may always have the Holy Spirit to be with me. I go to church every Sunday to partake of the Sacrament and participate in Gospel centered discussions. I love living my faith and will continue to live my faith.
