Hi I'm Michael

I am a chiropractor. I am a backpacker. I am a dad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

All my life I have loved being outdoors. Because I was outside so much I developed a desire to know more about what I was looking at. I studied plantlife and wildlife. I have loved backpacking and have been fortunate to have my children also love to camp and backpack. Not long ago I stood on top of Mt. Whitney with my four oldest children. We had such fun climbing that mountain. I can say that I always feel closer to God when I am in His nature. I grew-up without a father. My sister and I raised each other as my mom was often working. I have been so fortunate to be surrounded by good men and fathers and I learned how to be a father through them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been spiritually inclined. When I was little I felt a longing to connect with God. No one in my family practiced their proclaimed faith. When I had the opportunity to study the gospel at 12 years old, I immediatly felt peace and calm and a sense of belonging. My life long study of mormonism has continiued to fulfill my natural inclination to know more about God and feel closer to Him. I have a strong desire to obey God and to serve my Savior, being Mormon lets me do that completly.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to help others in our church. I have taught the youth for most of my 42 years. I have been able to organize trips and events and in general have learned how to be a leader. Spending time with these wonderful kids has brought more to my life than I have ever given up. This is amazing because my own youth was spent alone. The Lords plan has made more of me than I could have ever made of myself.
