Hi I'm Jake

I love Bluffdale, Romania, ice cream, the outdoors, and have the greatest family on earth!

About Me

I have grown up in my church my whole life. Have an amazing family. I have loved to do just about anything growing up. Anything from fly fishing to wake surfing, to archery hunting in the mountains. I have also become successful in track and triathlons. Which have been some of the best memories I have had yet in my life. Hope and dream to win the gold medal for the triathlon event in the 2016 Olympics that are coming up in a few years. But as much as all this sounds like fun and what life is all about. I can tell you it is not. It doesn't even come close to the joy that I have serving a two year mission. Sacrificing two years of my time, and putting the Track and Tri careers on hold is the best thing that I have ever done in my life. Some athletes don't serve, but regret later on in life to serve a full time mission. But I can say every second has been worth it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because I know it is true. I found out for myself. The gospel is plain and simple just like Christ said before. Doesn't take a philosopher to rant off about nothing to know if something is true. But to ask God himself if something is true. The main thing that separates us from the rest of the world is that we have the restored priesthood which with we can perform the ordinances of God. One example of these is being able to be sealed to our families for all time and eternity in the temple. Knowing that we can be with our families not just in this life, but in the next as well brings everlasting joy and happiness. I have a testimony that these things are true from what I have experienced and felt through my own life. You can know the Book of Mormon is true is you just put Moroni's words into practice. You can look at all the amazing stats and facts of LDS members. But that is not even good enough to know if it is true or not.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example and serving others. I am currently serving a two year mission in the Romania, Moldova mission. Spend my days trying to talk to everyone to share this message with them. So far it has been the best experience in my life for sure.
