Hi I'm Margarite

I was born in Utah, but I've lived all over the USA. I am a mom, military wife, animal lover, road tripper... and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy wife of an United States Air Force officer and a proud mother to two awesome kids who love to read and watch movies and go on adventures. I have two furry kids, a 97 pound Catahoula dog and a sweet old black cat, and I love all animals. I love all kinds of music, art, movies, books, and television shows. I wear jeans and t-shirts most days except Sunday, but even then I'm out of my church clothes as soon as I get home. I try to get to the temple at least once a month with my awesome husband and I attend church at least once a week. I love to travel, especially road tripping with my family to new places off he beaten path. I do yoga and run and workout and hang upside down. I don't feel anchored to any one place, except wherever my family is and in the church. I am an optimist, always trying to focus on the good and deal the best I can with trials. I also do my best to see the good in people and point it out to them when they can't see it for themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

At first I became a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon family and was baptized when I was 8 years old. Throughout my childhood I dealt with all kinds of changes in my family and where we lived, but the church was a constant in the chaos. When I got married I chose to live in the gospel and be part of the church because I wanted my family to have the constancy of the gospel and all the blessings that come with it. I continue to live in the gospel and in the church because it strengthens my faith and helps me to be a better person. I love serving in the church and that service has created in me a desire to serve outside the church in my community. Most of all, I value my testimony of the gospel and membership in the church because I know that as long as I live faithfully I will return to my Father in Heaven and live eternally with Him and my family. I just love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through quietly living the gospel everyday. I try to exemplify my callings in life as wife, mother, friend, neighbor, etc. and in the church and community. I love serving my family. I am proud to say that I am a full-time mother and wife. I have worked outside of the home in the past, but my favorite "job" has always been at home. I love taking care of our home, making sure it is clean and safe and happy. I love taking care of my kids, getting up with them in the morning, picking them up in the afternoons, helping them with homework, and just spending time with them. I love being able to go have lunch with my husband several days a week, being home when he arrives in the afternoon, and just spending time with him. I love helping my neighbors and friends with various things like getting their kids to and from school, house and pet sitting, and helping in times of special need. I love volunteering at the schools as well. Finally, I love living my faith in the quiet things I do for myself everyday, my morning prayer and scripture study, going out with the sister missionaries, continuing to learn, and just quietly setting an example of love and living the gospel in everything that I do.
