Hi I'm Niels

I'm a innovation technology student. I am from the Netherlands. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, I am Niels. Most of my life I have lived in or near Eindhoven in the Netherlands. After finishing middelbare school I worked for the tax office. I did this to be able to go to France where I lived 2 years. When I came back from France I started my education at Eindhoven university of Technology. The program I do is called Technological Innovation Sciences. It is about the innovation process and factors that improve or hinder change and progress. Next to studying I also participated in local student association Ichthus for a year and am now part of the study association Intermate. When possible I join in study related foreign trips or find other ways to explore the world. I have been able to travel most of Europe, have been to the states and also South-Korea. I am a member of a wonderful family of 6 children. My brother and sisters are very dear to me, as are my parents. They teach me about life and love.

Why I am a Mormon

As I grew up, my parents where already members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They thought me to pray, to read Gods word and to have a personal relationship with Jesus. As I grew older I saw the effects of faith in my life and wanted to know more for myself. I decided to do as my parents had done. to study and investigate for myself and find an answer. As I did I had many faith increasing experiences. I grew to know the truth for myself. I developed an increased love of God and of my family. I know the Lord Jesus Christ to be my personal Friend and Saviour. I love Him and wish to serve Him and His cause. To bring all men to a fullness of Joy.

How I live my faith

Throughout my entire life I strive to follow the example of Christ. That is to defend that which is right and true and to serve others. In our local church unit I help with the Young Men program. Here I am responsible for Sunday education and regular activity nights. To be able to follow the example of Christ and to live His gospel, I study His word on a daily basis. When I was 14-18 I finished the church seminary program where I developed a deeper understanding and a love for the Bible, the Book of Mormon and other inspired works. The Book of Mormon is a great inspiration to me throughout many aspects of my life, including my education. The Bible and the life of Christ show me how to act in many situations and how to serve in an effective manner. An other example I try to live is to pray. There are many occasions during the day where I speak with God to thank Him and to ask for His blessings. I love doing activities with other youth. Because of this I help out with several youth camps for different age groups. Here we do activities varying from sports and parties to lessons and service. These are always great experiences where many friendships are formed and strengthened and where he Spirit of God is strongly present. In general I try to be an example of true religion and Christianity. To be close to God and to love and serve those around me.
