Hi I'm Travis Cook

I grew up in Utah. I have 2 older sisters and one older brother. I'm 29 years old and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Travis Cook. I am currently unemployed. I would like to go down to Cedar City and go through their theater program. I was in theater in high school and loved it and loved the people I played with. I enjoy interacting with other people, playing sports, and eating a variety of foods. I feel better when I eat healthy and exercise.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and have had a lot of spiritual experiences growing up. I started noticing a feeling I would receive when reading the scriptures, especially the words of Moroni, that would make me have goosebumps, and that was the spirit of the Lord. As I got older, I wanted to make my life better, so I read the scriptures in the morning and at night. After about a month of doing this, I had a profound spiritual experience that lifted a heavy burden off of me that had been there from quite some time. That catapulted me into having the best time of my life. I knew that all my friends were my brothers and sisters, and sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. I no longer judged them, but treated them as their best selves.

How I live my faith

I pray after I get up in the morning and before I go to bed at night. I read my scriptures. I do my best to attend my church meetings (I have health problems), and I fulfill my calling as the Men's Ward Sports Director. I do my home teaching each month, read conference talks, and study upcoming Sunday School lessons. I act responsibly when I am in public and I am a good sport.
