Hi I'm George

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee as the Seventh child of eight in a multicultural home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Honesty is important to me. I am an intellectual, and though I generally don't seek social interaction, I don't hide from it. I think a lot about everything, and I am for the most part creating this profile to have a place to post the things I think about as I develop the concepts. Hopefully there is such a place on this to write those things. I like outdoors, video games, movies, and philosophy. My mission was to Salt Lake City South. I am probably a unique individual.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member, because I believe in the teachings of the church. I believe in the organization. I love this church, because it teaches that nothing is beyond us. We can come to learn and know anything if we diligently seek to. God is not a mystery, and has never tried to be unknowable. Quite the contrary he has been with us every step of the way, and continues to be even now. He is not silent, he will speak to each of us individually if we listen. From before the founding of the world as we know it he prepared everything we will need on a personal basis, because he loves us as his children. We live so that we might have joy and progress.

How I live my faith

I live the concepts taught as I understand them, and as I can apply them to my life. So that I might live a life of joy that I can enjoy and in a way that others can see. I do not hesitate to tell others to which church I belong, or the principles by which I live or why. I am not ashamed. I am determined not to regret life, or anything in it.

What is faith?

Faith is the process by which we gain a true knowledge and understanding of the principles of the gospel. It is basically the scientific process of life. We have a question, a gospel principle answers our question, but in order to truly understand for ourselves we have to act or experiment, and apply the principle to our lives. The result is gives us the truth of the principle. If it is good then we will feel the reward if it isn't then we won't. Show more Show less
