Hi I'm Miranda

I grew up in Idaho. I love music. I play percussion/drums, guitar, and piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read. I enjoy playing piano, guitar, and drums/percussion. I love food (especially nachos). Mexican food is my favorite. I am going to college to become a Math teacher. I LOVE doing math. When I was in high school I was part of every kind of band there was. The Jazz Band was what I loved best. I love my family, including my brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephew. I enjoy playing games and hanging out with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to be a mormon because I feel that it is right for me. My life would be completely turned around without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the teachings of His church I have come to know that I am a child of God and that someday I will return to live with my Heavenly Father if I choose the right and follow in His ways. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is truly my elder brother. I know Christ died on the cross for me and every one of our Heavenly Father's children, so that we would have the opportunity to live with Him again. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us. We are His children. I am His child. I know the atonement of Christ allows for us to repent of our wrong doings and continue on in our daily lives to become better. We cannot be perfect in this life, but I know that by striving for it our Heavenly Father will make up for the rest in the end, but we have to do our part first. I know God has put His power on the earth through the priesthood. It blesses my life daily just by having two worthy priesthood holders in my home. I can call upon that priesthood at anytime I feel I need to. This gospel means everything to me. Without it, I wouldn't be able to do the things I do. I know my Heavenly Father is helping me in my life, in my struggles and when I am happy. The Holy Ghost is a constant companion to me as long as I am choosing the right and doing God's will. I know that what I am doing in following the gospel is right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in church callings and doing my best to keep the commandments of God. I had a calling as a teacher in the Primary. The Primary is for children starting at age 3. I taught the 4 year olds who are going to be 5. They taught me so much about the gospel. They are so pure and they know what is right. They bless my life. I am also a Visiting Teacher. A visiting teacher is someone who has ladies to visit in the ward, and you help out the other ladies in the ward with whatever they need. Also you would go to their home at least once every month. I enjoy visiting with the ladies I visit teach. They put a smile on my face each time I go to see them. I know I can consider them friends and they can consider me their friend. It is easier said than done to always live the way I am supposed to, but I know that if I keep striving to do what is right I can do better the next day and the next day after that. Our Heavenly Father won't leave you alone to do everything on your own. He is here to help you every single day. It is hard, but I do it and I love it. I know that by doing it I am blessed in more ways than I realize.
