Hi I'm Jessica

I'm friendly and down to earth. I love to read, be outside, and spend time with my family. And...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of two crazy kids and somehow I have managed to continue going to college for the past 3 years. I'm currently studying Business Marketing and hoping to finish my bachelors degree this coming spring. I met my husband in our high school culinary class and he became my best friend. In my free time I love to grab a bag of popcorn and watch movies with my husband and children. I love to be outdoors, at the beach and I love to swim. Summer is my favorite time of year. I enjoy reading, pottery, video games, computers, and am learning to sew. Most of all I love spending time with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church. My father joined in his early adult life, and my mother joined after they married and lost their second son. My mother was drawn to the gospel because of the plan of salvation. She learned that our Heavenly Father had a great plan set out for us, that families could be together forever. I have had the opportunity in my life to prayerfully seek out this truthfulness and decide for myself if I believed in the religion. I have learned that I am far more happy when I am active in my religion, but like anyone, I have gone through trials and my testimony of the gospel has been tried. What has held me together is knowing that if I strive to follow christ and his example I will return to live with my heavenly father again and knowing that my family will be there with me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith day by day by doing those little things that bring me closer my Heavenly Father. I try to make a daily goal of reading my scriptures and saying small prayers throughout my day to have the spirit of the lord with me. When I do those little things I feel a huge difference in my day. I feel happier, more at piece, and far more friendlier. I love attending church each Sunday and being spiritually uplifted for the week. I'm not perfect, but I'll always try to be better.
