Hi I'm Meg Parkes

I grew up is Spokane Valley, Washington. I am majoring in Interior Design and music is a love of mine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in interior design. I love to sing and dance (badly) and just listen to any kind of music. I love to draw and write and I'm working on other artisic talents. I did running start my junior and senior years in high school, so I am a junior in collage at 19. I have a small family but I am very close with all of them. I love animals and have a sweet cat that is always at my side. I live on my own with my cousin in a house not far from my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my faith in this church. I grew up in the church with my family and friends, but I have my own faith that I know this church is true. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and all the men and leaders that followed him. I know that this church is the true word of God and that we are children of our loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I sing in church to try and bring the spirit to everyone who hears the music. I chose the music for the meetings and who will sing and I lead the hymns. I also help the ward missionaries with their work and try and help out as much as I can

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Our body is a gift from our heavenly father. We have to protect that gift by only letting the best things enter in. It is our temple, our only one. We can't go to the store and get a new body when the one we have is broken and done. This is our only body, the greatest gift we have been given and we have to protect it no matter what the world says. Show more Show less
