Hi I'm Stephen Wright

I love life. I grew up in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five great kids and a grandfather of 8. I have been married to the same wonderful woman, Sherri, for 40 years. For most of those years we have lived in California. I spent my youth in the small central Utah town of Mapleton. I served as a missionary for two years around the New York City area teaching people about Jesus Christ and His church. I graduated from Brigham Young University and have spent my career working in accounting and information technology. I enjoy working and doing things with my family. I spend time trying to keep in good physical condition by walking, exercising and riding my bike. One of my most memorable experiences was spending a week riding my bicycle down California’s Pacific Coast Highway from the San Francisco area to Los Angeles with two of my boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family and I find that the principles taught in the Church have and do help me stay close to my family. We as a family have found joy and happiness in our lives as we have followed the teaching of Jesus Christ in our lives. I find personal strength as I seek the spiritual side of life and have found that the Church provides guidelines that help me accomplish that. I have come to understand that true happiness in this life will come through living the commandments taught to us by Jesus Christ and our service to those around us. I love the hymn, “I Believe in Christ.” It says “I Believe in Christ, He is my king! With all my heart to him I’ll sing.” I love the Lord, I appreciate all he as done for me. I know that His teachings are being taught today in the Mormon Church.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily exercise of working hard, loving life, serving and treating others with kindness and caring. I serve in the Church by teaching others from my experiences about life and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope to be able to find new ways to serve my family, the church and community better in the future.
