Why I am a Mormon

i have grown up as a Mormon and i have been blessed all my life because i have joined this church. i love helping and sharing the gospel to others and i want to share that feeling of joy to others. i am a mormon because this is the one and only church of God and the only church that has the power and authority to gain salvation. i love being a mormon because i have been and continue to be blessed every single day.

How I live my faith

i live my faith by sharing it with others and helping people every single day who stand in need and helping others who don't stand in need. i live my faith by simply being the best i can be and giving my all and being as faithful as possible in helping people recieve the restored gospel of jesus christ and his atonement, repentance recieving the gift of the holy ghost and enduring to the end.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Dalton Clark
well we believe this life is a time to do Gods work a time to help others and live as Jesus Christ has and try our best to follow the example of Jesus Christ by having faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement (sacrificed his life for us) repentance by changing and living everyday to become like Christ, by being baptized to show that you want to follow the example of Jesus Christ and to wash away your sins as you repent, receive the gift of the holy ghost or the comforter which leads you and guides you like a spiritual gps (john 14:26) and endure to the end (2nd Nephi 31:20 in Book of Mormon) and that means to continue and try to be like Christ all of your lives because if you do you will be happy. i know that this life is here for us to learn and grow a time to mess up and learn, we are not perfect but we can try to be better each day and as we come closer to Christ we will feel joy. Why is family so important to Mormons?

Dalton Clark
family's are so important to us because they are there to help each other, to learn and grow. they are the most important unit in Gods kingdom we believe that we are all Gods children (Romans 8:16) and that we are all family we are Gods sons and daughters and we need to support each others like such. and we are put in family's to help us out. we believe that we can be together forever as a family to come to live with God again. so as we live with our family on earth we learn how we can live with our father in heaven. Dalton Clark
the way we increase our faith in Jesus Christ is by exercising it. by reading the scriptures and preying and sharing it with others. faith is kind of like a muscle if you work out you get stronger but if you don't work out you muscle will never build. so you need to read, prey, follow gods commandments and do the best that you can in this life. Dalton Clark
being a Mormon is one word LEGIT because God gives you joy and if you follow him. you can share that joy with others we have everything necessary to return to our heavenly father and we know who we are why we are here, and what we are doing after this life. we serve others and that makes us happy it's difficult sometimes to do as God has required but ultimately this will bring us joy. Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Dalton Clark
we baptize new members because it is nessisary. Jesus Christ was baptized to provid us a way to change and to eventually live with him again to be forgiven. we believe in being baptized by immersion and we make a promise to live like him and keep his commandments. the baptism represents the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. and as we are baptized it represents the death and burial of our old life and that we are starting a new life. we commit to live like Christ and keep the commandments and if we keep that promise then we are given the holy ghost to have it with you whitch leads you and guides you through all lifes challenges. What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Dalton Clark
the word of wisdom is a commandment from God to abstain from the addictive substances of the earth coffie, tea, alcohol and illigal drugs. God has given us thiese bodies so that we can use them the right way and learn how to control them as he states in corinthians 15 our body is a temple and a temple is a house of God. so just like a temple is dedicated for God our bodies should be treated the same. Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Dalton Clark
we donate 10% of our income to the church because it is a commandment (malachi 3:8-10) it also gives us an opportunity to not only finance those who are less fortunate but also to help build and maintain churches and temples as well as give us an opportunity to recieve blessings. i have seen tithing as a blessing in my own life in that i have an opportunity to give and know that the finances i give are given to the right place and I know that just like all other commandments God will provide a way to accomplish what he asks of us Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Dalton Clark
Joseph Smith was a 14 year old boy who had a question of what church he needed to join. he had a prayer and asked God which he needed to join. God told him he should join none of them. the reason why God told Joseph Smith this was because Gods church was not on the earth due to wicked people killing those who held the authority to act in Gods name to help people make it to heaven by doing things necessary like baptism.
