Hi I'm Tina

I'm a mother of two and an attorney. I love music and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my first career, I was an attorney. Now I'm enjoying a second career as a stay-at-home mom with two spirited little boys.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is simple: the gospel makes me happy. I know that God loves me because His Spirit tells me that I am loved every time I read scriptures, pray, and serve others. I know that Heavenly Father has given us a living prophet, President Monson, because I have prayed for answers to problems I face and I have often found my answers in President Monson's teachings. I know that the Book of Mormon is the sacred word of God because I have read it, I have prayed about it, and the Holy Spirit has whispered to me that it is true and it is good.

How I live my faith

I am the music leader for the primary children in my church (ages 3 through 12), which means that I get to sing silly songs, play games, and easily feel and witness the teachings of the Holy Spirit that come through music. There are many Sundays when I feel the Spirit strongly while the children sing. I like that the children I teach ask lots of questions and try to understand the words that we are singing.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Tina
There are many kinds of families, but all families start with a man and a woman who are willing to make a commitment to God and each other to be faithful and true and to love one another. When there are children in a family, husbands and wives have to work together to teach the children how to make good choices - choices that will help them to be happy now and will lead them back to our Heavenly Father. Both parents need to communicate frequently and well about how to teach and love their children, and they need to prayerfully seek guidance from God. Even when there are not children in a family, husbands and wives must serve each other, love each other, and share in the work they have to do. Show more Show less
