Hi I'm Jennifer Peterson Romero

I am the mother of three. I am a mentor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three beautiful children. I have two "adopted" children who I have been blessed to play an important mentoring roll in their lives. I have been married for almost 17 years to the best guy - who is not a member of the church. I still live in the area that I grew up.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I always enjoyed church, the activities, and my friends I made at church. However, when I was in my late teens I rebelled a little and quit going to church. I became a single mom at 20 and struggled. I was blessed to have the support of my family who never turned their backs on me. I also understood as a mother how important the gospel was to me growing up and knew that it was important for me to give the same to my daughter. I spent a long time forgiving myself and eventually returned to church. I am forever grateful for the gospel in my life, the atonement of Jesus Christ, and the blessing that come from living as Christ would have us live. Throughout every trial in my life, I have always been able to find comfort, support, and answers in my faith.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to be able to help at church both on Sunday and on Tuesdays at different time. I have taught Primary (like Sunday school) for the little children. One of my favorite callings was work with the cub scouts. There is nothing like a group of 10 year old boys on a Tuesday night learning first aid. I now am lucky enough to teach the women's group once a month on Sunday. I learn so much in the process of preparing and am able to really get to know the women in my church.
