Hi I'm MaKade

I try to go one step further every day. I dream the impossible dream. I seek the Way less traveled. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Of all the things I am most fond of my religion is definitely number one! I just makes me want to smile! I enjoy the arts and especially love musical and dramatical theater. I played football in high school, performed in the school plays, and receive my associates of arts. I have a brother, twin sisters, my loving parents, and our adorable puppy Miley. I absolutely love to serve and love to learn all that I can. Currently I am attending Brigham Young University, Provo and having a blast! This next June I will also be entering the Missionary Training Center to serve my Heavenly Father and the people of the Ukraine Donetsk Mission for 2 years. I don't quite know what I want to do with my life, but I know I'm doing the right thing right now!

Why I am a Mormon

Like most members, I was born and raised into the Church and grew up learning the stories, principles, and just what the Gospel of Jesus Christ actually was. I grew up like a regular kid attending school, playing sports, making mistakes, and learning all along the way. It wasn't until I began to understand my need for a Savior that I truly began to become converted to this Gospel. Over a process of time, and still continuing to this day, I have grown to understand most emphatically that I am not, regardless of how I would protest, perfect, and I have come to know for myself that there is One who loves me perfectly despite that imperfection, even my Loving Heavenly Father. I grew to know that my loving Father had given to me His Son as a sacrifice for my misdeeds and weaknesses so that I could come to live again with Him again and become like Him. This I can achieve as I try to live as He would have me live and do that which He would have me do. I have grown to see in my own life the effects of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety: true happiness, hope, patience, progression, purpose, knowledge, and a love for my Father and my fellow men. Through these different elements that have come into my life by living the Gospel, I have grown to gain a testimony that what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches is true because it comes directly from both ancient and modern day prophets who are led by Jesus Christ Himself, who leads and guides His Church. I have come to know of myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God that can bring us closer in relationship as well as in actual presence to our Heavenly Father. And I have come to realize that my Savior, even Jesus Christ, came to this Earth to live perfectly, suffer perfectly, die perfectly, and live again perfectly, so that we can live again. And because He lives, with hope, so can we.

How I live my faith

Every day I am able to wake up with a new determination to live the Gospel to its fullest. On my own, I couldn't do this at all! It is through the aid and grace of Christ that I am able to do so. His power and strength strengthen me in living the Gospel. It's not easy, but when you understand the 'why' of living the Gospel, the 'what' and 'when' all come into perspective. For me, the things that truly help me is daily studying the scriptures, and especially the Book of Mormon, giving service to all around me, going to Church, and living my life so that I can be worthy of His Spirit and guidance. One of the biggest way I live my faith is accepting the call to serve a mission for the Church for two years, serving the people of the Ukraine Donetsk Mission. I live my Faith, because my Faith is what gives me Life.
