Hi I'm Ashley Smith

I'm an artist, a linguist, a learner, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wide variety of interests. I write a lot. I love to learn (especially about languages, history, cultures, and religions). I am highly involved in the performing arts and anything crafty or creative. Marching band is my sport of choice (color guard), but I also like to play some other sports, and love the Olympics. I love nature and all things in it. I am serving a full time mission. I am a convert, and I LOVE the Lord! "I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it."

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised on faith as a non-denominational Christian, always seeking out the Spirit. At the beginning of college I had a friend come into my life as an answer to my prayers. Awhile after having recieved a Book of Mormon, I felt the Spirit moving me to read some of the Bible, then some of the Book of Mormon. I read about Joseph Smith and I felt the Spirit stronger than ever, and prayed. I know that Joseph Smith was God's prophet, that this is the church of Christ, and that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the Word of God. I encourage every one of you to read and pray to know for yourself if these things are true, and to talk to some missionaries.

How I live my faith

Family Home Evening, church activities, daily prayer and scripture study, giving of my time and talents to help others, classes at the Institute of Religion (open to anybody), reading/listening to conference talks, doing family history/genealogy (through familysearch website), and teaching all those who want to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
